Small Burgmaster: A Damaged Turret Drillpress
Summary:
A turret drillpress is an extremely valuable tool in any production line, and when we were given the opportunity to acquire a small one for free because it was broken - we took it. We ended up disassembling the device to diagnose what was wrong with it and how we could refurbish it into a productive machine. Ultimately we ended up determining two major issues (1) there were parts missing from the mechanism, and (2) we would need to remake a pinion due to one of its gears having heavy wear.
Along with simply diagnosing the problems with the machines we refurbish, we love spotting different concepts and where they crop up... and like always Rob was the first to spot this one:
